Finding a good speaker that you can count on
can be challenging. Now, thanks to the efforts of our Georgia SHRM
Chapters that task has just gotten easier! The GA State Council is
proud and excited to announce a new avenue for sharing information
about qualified speakers interested in presenting informative talks
on topics aligned with SHRM’s mission and values.
Our database is established, and will be maintained, through two
pipelines:
1. Chapter leaders interested in sharing good resources with each
other
2. Speakers satisfactorily completing our outlined proposal process
Please remember that speaker information provided through this site
is shared with the understanding that each Chapter will do appropriate
research and reference checking prior to engaging a professional
for an event.
The first step is to create
an account . It’s free, fast, and easy. Your information
will not be shared with anyone outside the State Council.
Once you have an account setup and approved for access by our staff
you can gain access at anytime by going to Members
Only Login .
Here you will find valuable information for “Members Only” and
can edit your account, add new Speakers to our database, and more.
Want to submit information about a speaker? Chapter
leadership is encouraged to submit speaker information about speakers
you have used and would like others to know about. Note: you must
first create your account.
Looking for a speaker? Chapter
leadership is invited to access the GA State Council speaker
database and use our search function to
help find a speaker that meets your needs. In addition, don’t
forget that SHRM also maintains a database of speakers and for Chapters.
You can view the SHRM Speakers Bureau at www.shrm.org/speakers.
There are several lists there: one for SHRM staff speakers, one
of highly rated speakers from SHRM’s conferences, and a list of
speakers from around the nation who speak for chapter events. Not a member but would like the opportunity
to speak at a GA SHRM event? To submit a potential speaker go to our New
Speaker Add page.
Please allow two to four weeks for review. Thank you for your interest
in supporting SHRM.
What’s next for Professional Development? With the database
up and running, we will be turning our attention to identifying HR
professional competencies and associated options for building those
skills. If you’re interested in working with us on this project,
or would like to provide feedback on the speaker database, please
contact me at debbie@evolutionmgt.com.
In addition, we’re interested in hearing from you about your
professional development priorities. Please contact crewd@fvsu.edu.
